Neuro-otologist and\nAudiologist working together? <\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Neuro-otology is\nan area of medicine which studies and treats disorders of the WHOLE ear. It\nis a subspecialty of otolaryngology, commonly referred to as Ear Nose and\nThroat (ENT), and is closely related to otology, and also draws on the fields of neurology and neurosurgery (study of the brain).   ENT\u2019s generally work with\nouter ear concerns, Otology generally refers to the treatment of middle ear\ndisease and resultant conductive hearing loss, whereas neurotology refers\nto treatment of inner ear conditions, or hearing and balance disorders. To put\nit simply Neurotology specializes in the WHOLE ear \u2013 outer, middle and inner\nparts of the ear. These specialists also work closely with audiologists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
